근린지역 도시재생 정책요인의 한ㆍ미간 비교ㆍ고찰

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In Republic of Korea(RoK), as "Urban Regeneration Act" has been established in 2013, many urban regeneration projects are implementing from 2014. Futhermore, in May 2014, 13 cities has been awarded as model city for urban regeneration by RoK government. Nevertheless, the planning system and the implementation system for urban regeneration in RoK has not firmly been settled. Even though many regeneration projects can be initiated at the same time in local government, project period is too short(just for 4 years), the main body and the partnership of regeneration projects are not clear and collaboration system of projects is not defined. One of the reason of weakness in urban regeneration system is excessive focusing on physical redevelopment in RoK.
On the other hand, in USA, urban regeneration system has long history, diverse tools of regeneration project and focus on neighborhood"s capability enhancement. In recent year, USA government started Neighborhood Regeneration Initiative(NRI) and Promise Zone for community regeneration in urban area. This paper tried to research the concept of urban regeneration of RoK and USA, compare the system of urban regeneration in RoK and USA, and find implication and difference of urban regeneration policy between RoK and USA.
