불임부부의 불임스트레스와 우울이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Infertility Stress and Depression on Quality of Life in Infertile Couples

Purpose: This study was to identify the effects of infertility stress and depression on quality of life in infertile couples. Methods: The data were collected from 122 (women; 61, men; 61) at one university hospital and three infertile clinics within J and C city. Data were analyzed by SPSS Win 18.0. Results: There were statistically significant differences between men and women in infertility stress (t=2.792, p=.007) and depression (t=3.090, p=.003). Women experienced higher infertility stress and depression than men. Infertility stress and depression were negatively correlated with quality of life in infertile couples. Quality of life in women was most influenced by couple relation of infertility stress (-.612), depression (-.421) and emotional area of infertility stress (-.179). Quality of life in men was most influenced by emotional area (-.493), depression (-.377), couple relation of infertility stress (-.218) and social area of infertility stress (-.154). Conclusion: This study has show that infertility stress and depress were directly affected factors in infertile couples. For increasing of quality of life in infertility couples, therefore, nursing intervention should be developed to manage the infertility stress and depression in them.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 불임부부를 대상으로 불임부부 양측의 입장에서 경험하는 불임스트레스, 우울 및 삶의 질 정도를 파악하고 이들의 삶의 질 예측요인을 비교･분석한 연구이다. 본 연구의 자료수집은 2011년 6월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 4개월 동안 구조화된 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 J시와 C시에 소재하는 불임클리닉에 등록한 불임환자 61명과 그 배우자 61명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 18.0을 이용하여 단계선택법을 이용한 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과 불임스트레스와 우울은 여성이 남성(배우자)보다 높았고 삶의 질은 유의한 차이가 없었다. 또한 불임스트레스와 우울은 불임부부의 삶의 질에 직접적인 영향요인임을 알 수 있었으나 불임부부의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인은 여성과 남성(배우자)이 다르게 나타나 이를 바탕으로 불임부부에게 삶의 질을 증진시키는 전략이 필요하며 전략수립 시에 불임부부 각각 즉, 여성과 남성(배우자)별 접근방법이 달라야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
