다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of multicultural education that is based on cognitive developmental theory, in which realistic and effective methods of education in multiculture can be presented.
Children’s perceptions, attitudes and values do reflect their cognitive stage. They connected with the knowledge that is learned through experience first, and then internalized in individual mind with the internal meaning. Therefore above all, to have the individual attitude and value is required the change in the structure of cognition.
Sometimes a person’s Knowledge or schemes are not adequate to deal with a new situation, in which case the individual must learn new information in oder to be able to respond more appropriately. In social situation however, a tendency to hold on to old attituds may account for having biases in spite of new experiences. So to change the structure of cognition and get a upright attitudes and values must be required mental effort.
Multicultural education have a idea that all students should have and equal opportunity to learn in school. This is not easy in ethno cultural centrism in Korea, thus multicultural education have to try to change the thinking that can be extended gradationally and more flexible.
