    With dramatic societal changes and the weakening of home education, the importance of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) has increased in schools. Specifically, when it comes to students regulating their emotions and managing societal pressures is a major component on the educational agenda these days. Students’ emotions and societal pressures serve as the foundation for success of cognitive and other functional abilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility and practicality of SEL in science classes by reviewing the related articles and survey of science teachers. The nature of science, and inquiry and communication stands at the core of SEL of science. Science teachers admitted that the science of SEL is essential and important but is not implemented because of competitive education, especially from those parts which are focuses on knowledge and achievement scores. Through the science of SEL, science education keeps the balance between cognitive, affective, and psychological aspects. We would expect the science of SEL is an important part of a well-rounded education rather than putting students into competition with one another.

Specifically, when it comes to students regulating their emotions and managing societal pressures is a major component on the educational agenda these days.
