The purpose of this study is to examine the difference of the acculturation attitude and parenting role competence of immigrant females by marriage and the correlations acculturation attitude with parenting role competence of immigrant females by marriage. For this objective, a survey was conducted to 112 immigrant females by marriage, whose young children were enrolled in the day-care centers in Jeollabuk-do province. The collected data were analysed by F, t-test, Pearson`s correlations using SPSS 12.0 program. From the analysis, it was revealed as follows. First, immigrant females by marriage showed moderate grade of tendency in acculturation attitude and difference from each other depending on the number of children, proficiency level of the Korean language, information about child-rearing and educational issues. Second, their conviction as parents turned out to be on the moderate level but different depending on their education, Korean proficiency level and knowledge about educational issues. Third, there were positive correlation between only integration attitude among acculturation attitudes and parental role competence, especially parental cognition, and also positive correlation between parental cognition and parental conviction among factors of parental role competence and acculturation attitude.
