교실수업에서 질문하는 일의 의미 = The Meaning of Questioning in Teaching a Subject in the Classroom

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to reveal the logical meaning and the significance of questioning in teaching a subject in view of Collingwood`s ‘logic of question and answer’. In general, questioning is regarded as one of the teaching techniques used by teacher for the effect of teaching. In this case, teaching a subject means making students accept the propositions given in the textbook. But, on the other side, questioning could be regarded as teaching itself, which has been well known by the Socrates’ teaching exemplified in the dialogue Meno. Collingwood reveal this point by his ‘logic of question and answer’contrasted with a traditional ‘propositional logic’. According to his ‘new’ logic, every proposition presuppose a question as its answer, and our thoughts consist of question-answer complex. Therefore, in view of Collingwood’s logic of question and answer, teaching a subject should not be understood as giving propositions to students as they are in the textbook. Teaching is an activity of making students know the questions presupposed in propositions that they learn. The idea of ‘classroom with questions` emphasized in recent educational program should be understood in this sense.
