남녀 대학생의 음주 문제 위험요인:사회 인지적 요인과 정서적 요인의 역할 = Gender Differences in the Effect of Risk factorson Drinking Problems in College Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 음주와 관련된 위험 요인들의 음주 문제와 음주량에 미치는 영향이 대학생 집단에서 성별에 따라 어떻게 다르게 나타나는지 알아보았다. 기존 연구에서 대학생의 음주 문제를 잘 설명하는 위험 요인으로 나타난 모델링, 음주에 대한 결과 기대, 우울과 불안을 ‘사회 인지적 요인’과 ‘정서적 요인’으로 구분하여 이들이 양적 음주와 음주 문제에 어떤 방식으로 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 구조 방정식 모델링을 사용하여 검증하였다. 그 결과 남녀 집단 모두에서 정서적 요인이 음주 문제에 영향을 미치는 직접적인 경로가 유의미하게 나타났으며 연구 모델의 적합도가 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 남자 대학생의 경우 사회 인지적 요인은 양적 음주와 음주 문제 모두에 유의미한 직접적인 경로를 가지고 있었으며 양적 음주가 음주 문제를 설명하는 직접적인 경로는 유의하지 않았다. 여자 대학생의 경우 사회 인지적 요인은 양적음주를 매개변인으로 하여 음주 문제에 영향을 주는 간접적인 경로만 유의하였다. 즉, 남자 대학생은 음주에 대한 긍정적인 기대, 또래 및 가족들의 모델링이 음주 문제에 큰 영향을 주며, 여자 대학생은 양적 음주가 음주 문제에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의, 제한점 그리고 앞으로의 연구 방향 등을 논하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated gender differences in the effect of psychological risk factors on alcohol consumption and drinking problems. Using the structural equation modeling approach, this study attempted to evaluate the fitness of a model composed of social cognitive factors and emotional factors such as family modeling, peer modeling, cognitive outcome expectancy, depression and anxiety, and also to identify the best model for male and female groups. The results showed that in the model of male group, social cognitive factors significantly predicted alcohol consumption and drinking problems. However, the direct path from alcohol consumption to drinking problem was not significant, which indicated alcohol consumption was not definitely indicative of drinking problems for male group. In the model of female group, social cognitive factors significantly predicted alcohol consumption, but not drinking problems. Furthermore, alcohol consumption mediated the effect of social cognitive factors on drinking problems. Emotional factors predicted drinking problems significantly in both groups. Finally, the implications and limitationsof this study were discussed and the future directions of study were suggested.
