청소년 비행과 비행친구의 인과관계에 대한 자기회귀 교차지연 모델의 검증

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 비행과 비행친구의 인과적 방향성이 어떠한지 알아보는데 있었다. 또한 비행행동과 비행친구의 인과관계가 성별에 따라, 그리고 시간의 흐름에 따라 다른 양상을 보이는지 알아보는데 있었다. 한국청소년패널조사의 중2에서 고2까지 4년 종단자료에 자기회귀 교차지연 모델 (autoregressive cross-lagged modeling)을 적용하였다. 연구결과 비행행동 및 비행친구는 중2에서 고2에 걸쳐 유의미하게 높은 안정성이 있었다. 비행친구와의 교제가 이후의 청소년비행에 영향을 미치기 보다는 비행행동이 이후 비행친구와 어울리는데 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 비행친구와 비행행동의 인과관계에 대한 비행친구 선택효과 모델을 지지하였다. 이러한 두 변인 간 종단적 인과관계는 성별 및 시간의 흐름에 따라 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 연구의 의의 및 후속연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study sought to examine the causal relationship between adolescents' delinquent behaviors and their affiliations with delinquent peers. Autoregressive cross-lagged modeling was performed to test the longitudinal reciprocal relationship between the two constructs. Data was derived from eighth graders who were followed for 4 years from the Korea Youth Panel Study were analyzed. The results indicated that both delinquent behaviors and affiliations with delinquent peers were consistent over time. The results also showed that there was a significant cross-lagged effect of delinquent behaviors on the subsequent delinquent friends, rather than vice versa. No gender differences were found in the relationship between the two constructs during the period of study. Suggestions for future studies were also discussed.
