As the father``s participation on rearing of children has been increasingly emphasized, there is an urgent need to aware the importance of father``s involvement, particularly In play and physical activity, for children``s development. The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of father-children physical activities and the father``s awareness of this activities. The subjects were 15 children from 4 to 8 years-old-children and their fathers. They participated the father-children football program prepared by Y- Multicultural Family Support Center. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, it has appeared that fathers engage in physical activities with their children for once a week, 30 minutes to an hour and that they are active In their willingness to participation. Secondly, fathers had high satisfaction rate In the program, and showed will to participate in the program again In the future. The most preferred was three times a week, an hour to one and one-half hour each time. Through participating in the program, the fathers discovered the active side of their children, and formed a stronger tie and intimacy with them. Through this research, the effectiveness of physical activity as a way to actively participate on rearing of children has been shown, and it is expected that results of the analysis be used as fundamental basis for construction of diverse programs.
