자료포락분석을 이용한 비수도권 지역 미술관의 효율성 연구 = Data Envelopment Analysis for Art Museums in Korea's Non-capital Region

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Although art museums are major recipients of public financial support in Korea, very little is known regarding their performance in quantitative aspects. An empirical analysis, using the Data Envelopment Analysis approach, carried out on the data of Korean art museums from the "General Survey of Cultural Infrastructure in Korea 2013", for evaluating the efficiency of art museums, The efficiency of art museums in non-capital region (except Jeju Province), is significantly lower than in capital region. To improve their efficiency, It is necessary for art museums in non-capital region to try to have more specialized collection of arts and to make a closer link with the local tourism industry of the region.
