서울지역 창업 중소기업의 생존율과 생존기간에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted to analyze business survival rate and impact factors on survival and the survival duration of firm which started up in Seoul between 2007 and 2011. The Kaplan-Meier method was chosen to perform analyses on the survival duration, and Cox Proportional Hazard Model taken to conduct on the impact factors. As a result, findings of the study showed that the business survival rate by the 5 year operating firm reached 59.5%. The result was lower than those of the previous studies in Korea, but indicated a higher value than overseas studies. An empirical analysis on the survival factors of firms used total eight explanatory variables such as characteristics of firm, regional characteristics and economic circumstance. As a result, the company has higher risk, if it is service, export-import in industry type, located in CBD, launched after 2009 and has higher LQ. Whereas, the company has lower risk, if it is Non-venture in type, located in more industrially-various area and has less employee. The survival rates for 5 years are as follows; 65.2% in construction, 55.5% in service, 50.4% in manufacturing, 62.6% in medium-sized Firms and 54.2% in small-sized Firms.
