기술사업화의 비즈니스 생태계 모형에 관한 연구 = 공공 연구개발성과 사업화에의 적용을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구개발(R&D)은 개방형 혁신의 원천으로서 그 중요성이 강조되면서 정부에서는 공공 R&D 성과의 확산과 기술사업화를 위한 정책 및 투자 지원을 강화하고 있다. 지난 10여 년간의 지속적인 노력에도 불구하고, 기술사업화는 시장과 분절된 R&D, 취약한 수요기반, 미성숙한 기술시장 등으로 생태계가 아직 제대로 조성되지 못하면서 기대만큼의 성과를 내지 못하고 있다.
이에 본 연구에서는 생태계 조성을 기반으로 기술사업화가 활성화될 수 있도록 기술사업화의 비즈니스 생태계 모형을 제시하고자 하였다. 국내외 선행연구 분석을 토대로 모형 개발을 위한 프레임워크를 설정하였고, 생태계 관점에서 국내 공공 R&D 사업화 추진의 문제점을 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 기술사업화 생태계 조성을 위한 참조 모형으로서, R&D, 시장, 정보 유통, 고객 등 4 가지 도메인으로 구성된 공공 R&D 사업화의 비즈니스 생태계 모형을 제시하였다. 생태계 모형을 통해 기술사업화는 연구기관을 비롯해 기술거래, 가치평가, 기술금융 등 생태계를 이루는 다양한 구성원들 간의 긴밀한 연계와 유기적 협력을 바탕으로 이루어지며 가치 창출도 가능함을 살펴보았다. 한편 기술사업화 생태계의 성패는 키스톤으로서 공공연구기관의 역할에 좌우되는 만큼, 본 연구에서는 기술사업화 생태계의 지속적인 발전을 위한 공공연구기관의 역할 방향도 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Emphasizing the importance of R&D as a source of open innovation, Korean government is developing various programs focused on technology commercialization and is expanding investment on it. In spite of those efforts, technology commercialization is not vitalized yet due to the lack of demand for technology transfer, R&D planning scheme without considering market, immaturity of technology market, and so on.
This study aims to suggest the business ecosystem model so that technology commercialization could be facilitated based on business ecosystem perspective. We set the framework for modeling a business ecosystem through reviewing the previous works, and draw several problems to be solved regarding public R&D commercialization in Korea from the perspective of ecosystem. Considering those, this research proposes the business ecosystem model for public R&D commercialization as a reference model for describing, discussing, and developing the technology commercialization strategy. The proposed model consists of 4 domains as follows: R&D, technology market, information distribution channels, and customers. The business ecosystem model shows that technology commercialization could be facilitated to create the market value through close relationship and organic cooperation among its members that form the ecosystem. Public research institutes as a keystone player could control the fate of the ecosystem. In this regard, this paper suggests roles of public research institutes for evolving the business ecosystem.
