중학생이 경험한 학대와 방임이 학교 내 대인관계에 미치는 영향 경로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 중학생이 경험한 학대와 방임이 학교생활 내 주요 대인관계인 교사관계와 교우관계에 미치는 영향 경로에서 우울 및 공격성이 매개역할을 하는지를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘한국아동?청소년패널조사(KCYPS: Korean Children Youth Panel Study) 2010’ 중1 패널 3차년도(중학교 3학년)의 총 2,164명에 대한 자료를 구조방정식모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학대는 교우관계에만 부정적인 영향을 미쳤으며 방임은 교사관계와 교우관계 모두에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 우울은 교사관계와 교우관계 모두에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 공격성은 교우관계에만 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학대와 방임이 교사관계와 교우관계에 미치는 관계에서 우울과 공격성이 매개역할을 하는지 효과분해를 분석한 결과, 학대는 교사, 교우관계에 대해서 우울과 공격성을 통해 미치는 간접효과가 컸지만 방임은 교사, 교우관계에 미치는 직접효과가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학대와 방임이 교사관계에 미치는 영향에서는 우울의 간접효과가, 교우관계에 미치는 영향에서는 우울과 공격성의 간접효과가 각각 부적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 청소년복지 개입과 실천을 위한 시사점을 제시하고 후속연구의 방향을 제언하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of child maltreatment(abuse and neglect) on interpersonal relationships (teacher and peer) in middle school and the mediating effects of depression and aggression. This study utilized the 3rd wave data(3rd grade of middle school) from the 2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey administered by the National Youth Policy Institute. The total number of participants consisted of 2,164 students. Structural equation modeling was used for the purposes of analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, a significant relationship was found between child abuse and peer relationships, whereas child neglect was involved in both interpersonal relationships. Second, while depression negatively influenced both interpersonal relationships, aggression only impacted peer relationships. Third, child abuse was indirectly associated with interpersonal relationships mediated by depression and aggression. In contrast, child neglect was directly associated with both teacher and peer relationships. Furthermore, only depression appeared to mediate the association between child maltreatment and teacher relationships, whereas depression and aggression had a mediating effect on peer relationships. Based on these results, implications for practice and further research directions were discussed.
