다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects on musical creativity of young children through making music using picture books. The participants of this study were 50 children of 5-year-old of 2 classes in Y elementary school annexed kindergarten located in Seoul. The experimental group was selected 25 children and the controlling group 25 children. As this test tool Wang’s MCSM(Measures of Creativity in Sound and Music) adapted by Heo, Sun-hui(1996) is used. The results of the study were that making music using picture books had positive effects on musical fluentness, imagination, originality of young children. In conclusion, making music activities using picture books had positive effects on musical creativity of young children.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 그림책을 활용한 음악 만들기 활동이 유아의 음악적 창의성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 있다. 연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 Y초등학교병설유치원의 만 5세 두 학급의 유아 50명이며, 10주 동안 총 30회 실시하였다. 연구도구는 3∼8세의 유아들을 위해 기발된 Wang(1985)의 MCSM(Measures of Creativity in Sound and Music)으로 허순희(1996)가 번안한 자료를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과 그림책을 활용한 음악 만들기 활동은 유아의 음악적 유창성, 음악적 상상력, 음악적 독창성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 그림책을 활용한 음악 만들기 활동은 유아의 음악적 창의성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다고 할 수 있다.
