진로탄력성 개념에 대한 이론적 검토와 성인 진로상담에 대한 시사점 = A Theoretical Review on the Concepts of Career Resilience and the Implications for Adult Career Counseling

As the recent unstable and complex adult career phenomena resulted from the global industrial restructuring and thereby commonplace layouts and unwanted positions change, the concept of career resilience has been presented in the field of career counseling. This paper reviews the existing theories on the concept of career resilience which has been newly proposed to explain the recent unstable and complex phenomenon in adult careers. Specifically, the relations of the concepts between career resilience and psychological resilience, personality trait perspective, attitude perspective were reviewed and discussed. The conceptual similarities and differences of career adaptability with career resilience were reviewed as well. In addition, considerations and implications of career resilience were discussed comprehensively for adult career counseling. Finally, suggestions were made for further studies.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전세계적인 산업 구조조정과 그로 인해 일상화된 실직 및 원치 않은 보직 변경 등과 같이 최근의 불안정하고 복잡한 성인 진로 현상과 관련하여 진로탄력성(career resilience) 개념이 진로상담 분야에 새로이 제시되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 진로탄력성 개념에 대한 선행이론 검토를 통해 진로탄력성의 측정가능성을 탐색하였다. 특히 진로탄력성과 심리적 탄력성과의 관련성을 검토하고, 진로탄력성에 관한 성격특질 관점, 학습된 결과로서의 능력 관점, 태도 관점을 비교하였으며 진로탄력성과 인접 개념이라고 할 수 있는 진로적응성(career adaptability)과의 관련성을 검토하였다. 또한 진로탄력성 개념의 선행이론에 대한 비판적 검토를 통해 새로운 진로탄력성 개념 정의의 가능성을 검토하고 진로탄력성 개념의 성인 진로상담 실제에 대한 시사점을 탐색하였다. 끝으로 진로탄력성에 관한 후속 연구 시 고려할 사항들을 제언하였다.
