노인의 직업활동 참여동기, 직업만족도 및 심리적 복지감에 관한 인과모형 분석 = A Test of Causal Model for Motivation for Job Performance, Job Satisfaction and Psychological Well-being of the Elderly

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to verify the structure of its causality among motivation for job performance, job satisfaction and psychological well-being of the elderly through the Structural Equation Modeling. The study subjects were 300 male and female elderly people over the age of 60, living and working in Seoul. The method of sampling was purposive sampling in which the subjects are extracted and assigned according to their occupations and gender. The results were as follows. Firstly, motivation for job performance was significant affected by combined factors ranging from the value orientation of encouraging activity in elderly, support from their family members to job environments. Secondly, job satisfaction and motivation for job performance were affected by the level of job environments. It is necessary to raise the level of social recognition about elderly people's working and to develop an environment that conducive for increasing the working rate of the elderly. Thirdly, job satisfaction was positive effect on psychological well-being. Elderly people's continual working would contribute to their psychological well-being and successful aging. Therefore, the government should promote the policy which gives the elderly opportunities to work and extending retirement age in order to ensure their psychological well-being.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고령사회를 대비하여 활동지향적인 노년문화를 정착시키는 데 매우 필요한 노인의 직업활동 참여 및 활성화를 위한 실증자료 제공을 목적으로 한다. 조사대상은 서울시에 거주하고 60세 이상이며 6개월 이상 직업활동에 참여하고 있는 남녀 노인 300명으로, 직종 및 성별에 따라 할당추출 하는 유의표집을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 노인의 직업활동 참여동기, 직업만족도 및 심리적 복지감 간의 인과모형을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업활동 참여동기는 단순히 노인의 직업활동에 대한 개인적 욕구뿐 아니라 가정환경과 직업환경의 복합적인 요소에 영향을 받음이 검증되었다. 둘째, 노인의 직업활동 참여동기와 직업만족도는 직업환경 수준에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 정부는 노인의 직업활동 활성화를 위하여 직업환경 수준 향상에 더욱 관심을 가져야 할 것이다. 셋째, 노인의 심리적 복지감은 직업만족도에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 노인의 직업활동 참여는 심리적 복지감 향상 및 성공적 노화에 상당한 기여가 있음이 검증되었다.
