    A research of the method developing Korean folkplays into sports, which is designed to activate them, was done by selecting 13 local areas as sample for this research on the basis of literatures and the national distribution of folkplays. By giving an interview, sending a letter and calling a phone, we found spotting goods, refereeing norms, its organization and folkplay materials not yet standardized. We need the institutionalizaton of folkplays in order to develop folkplays into sports artificially. For the institution, sporting goods, game regulations etc. must be standardized. the regulations enforced by an authorized public institute, professional and .organized activities needed and learning game functions formalized.
