아동학대가 아동·청소년 발달에 미치는 영향에 대한 종단적 연구 = A longitudinal study of the effects of child maltreatment on children's developmental outcomes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effects of child maltreatment experiences at the time of fourth grade on developmental outcomes through childhood and adolescence periods. For the analyses, we employed multi level growth model method using the data from the Seoul Children Panel Study. We used the data from the annual surveys that followed 1,785 children from the fourth grade for 8 years. The results show that the child maltreatment experiences are statistically significantly associated with the initial levels of depression and anxiety, aggression, school bullying experiences, status offenses, and academic achievement. We also find that early child maltreatment experiences affect growth rates of school bullying experiences, status offenses, and criminal behaviors. The results of the study show that early child maltreatment experiences affect various child developmental outcomes later. The study also finds that the effects of early child maltreatment experiences are different across the developmental domains. In the study, we provide discussions on child maltreatment prevention practices and intervention methods based on the study results.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 4학년 시점에서 경험한 아동학대경험이 이후 아동기 및 청소년기에 걸쳐 아동발달에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울아동패널 1차 조사에 참여한 1,785명 아동을 중학교, 고등학교 시기의 8차년도까지 반복 조사한 자료를 이용하여 성장모형분석을 하였다. 연구모형은 HLM을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 다른 독립변수의 영향을 통제한 상태에서, 아동학대경험은 우울불안, 공격성, 학교폭력피해경험, 지위비행, 주관적 학업성취수준의 초기치와 학교폭력피해경험과 지위비행, 범죄비행의 변화율에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 아동학대는 다양한 아동발달결과에 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 아동발달영역에 따라 그 영향은 다소 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 분석결과를 근거로 하여 아동학대문제에 대한 실천적 개입방법을 논의하였다.
