국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 베이비부머세대(baby-boomer generation)의 특성을 파악하고 세대의 문제가 사회적 문제로 전환될 수 있음을 밝히고자 하였다. 이는 베이비부머세대(baby-boomer generation)가 내재한 사회적 영향력은 매우 크며 이에 따라 세대의 문제가 사회의 문제로 대두되는 현상에 대한 문제의식에 따른 것이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 관련 문헌을 수집하고 이를 사회적, 경제적, 심리적 특성으로 분류하여 종합화하였다. 연구결과 베이비부머세대(baby-boomer generation)는 사회적으로 경제개발시대의 주역이었으나 IMF경제위기와 노년으로 접어듦에 따라 주변인이 되어가고 있으며 경제적으로 경제발전의 혜택을 누려왔으나 부모세대와 자녀세대를 봉양해야하는 이중적 경제적 책임을 짊어지고 있고 심리적으로 IMF경제위기와 노령화로 인해 심리적 위축을 경험하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The aim of this study depends on understanding the characteristics of the baby-boomer generation and identifying that generation problems can be converted into a problem of social problem. To achieve this aim, the methods such as literature studies. The results are as follows. First, baby-boomer generation was the leading role of economic growth but becoming marginal group. Second, baby-boomer generation have double economic responsibility for both children and parents generation. Third, baby-boomer generation have experienced psychological atrophy could confirm that.
