노인의 성생활인식이 성생활 만족도 및 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 = A Study on the Relationships among the Cognition, Satisfaction Level of Sex Life and Life Satisfaction Level of the Elderly

This study intends to survey recognition, status and satisfaction level of sex life in the aged and identify relations between those factors. For this purpose. we distributed 300 copies of questionnaire to the aged more than age of 60 who use general welfare center for the aged primarily living in Ansan city, Suwon city and Siheung city, Kyunggi-Do and retrieved 285 copies. First, the result indicated that 40.3% of the aged have sex and 59.7 % of the aged do not have sex and 36.7% regarded sex as an important activity. Second, the satisfaction level of the aged is reported to be not much high with 2.17 of their sex recognition, 2.27 of satisfaction level in sex life and 2.74 of life satisfaction based on 5 point of perfect score. Third, the recognition of sex life is shown to positively affect satisfaction in sex life. Fourth, relations between recognition of sex life and satisfaction level showed that the higher their recognition levels in sex life are the higher their satisfaction level of sex life become. Fifth, the relation between satisfaction level in sex life and daily life for the aged showed that the higher their satisfaction levels in sex life are, the higher their satisfaction level in life become. Sixth, the recognition and satisfaction level in sex life and that of daily life showed higher results from men than women, the aged with their spouse than those who do not have spouse, those who have high academic ground, healthy people and those who have higher economic levels.
