한국과 독일의 방송뉴스 담론 비교 연구: 일본 후쿠시마 원전 사고 보도에 대한 푸코적 담론질서 중심의 시론적 고찰 = A Comparative Foucauldian Discourse Analysis of Korean and German TV news: A Case Study of Fukushima nuclear accident on March 2011

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated how South Korean and German television news frames make various social discourses draw a dominant public opinion by comparing and analyzing the Korean and German broadcasting news reports on the nuclear accident in Fukushima on March 11th, 2011. This study applies an approach based on Foulcault`s order of discourse explaining that the news discourses are constituted by the internal and external social factors in the process of deciding news frames. In the frame of South Korean and German television news reports concerning the nuclear accident occurring in Fukushima, Japan during the two weeks, from March 11th, 2011 to March 24th, 2011, South Korean televisions provided the exclusive frame that the Korean nuclear facilities are safe as well as Korean Peninsula had not been harmed by the radioactive substances leaked from the damaged Fukushima nuclear facility. However, the news reports in German televisions aimed at informing the possible nuclear accident occurring in Germany with the lesson from the Fukushima accident and presenting the public opinion about the nuclear accident. German television news showed the order of discourses excluding the frame that the nuclear plant is safe and economical. The different frames on the nuclear plants in South Korean and German media constructed the different dominant discourses. In addition, the two countries showed the different frame of discourses for the social practices in relation to the nuclear plants.
