최근 한국기독교교육학 연구 동향(2006.3∼2013.12) = Current Research Trends in Korean Christian Education (2006.3∼2013.12)

This research is a follow-up study of first generation scholar Oh InTak’s published work titled “Korean Christian Education: Bibliography(1945-2005),” which was published in 2008. Oh’s research is anexhaustive indexical collection of Christian Education-related papers andpublications written in post-liberalization South Korea, and as such, itembodies the tremendous effort that has gone into its completion and isregarded today as a resource of utmost value within the field of KoreanChristian Education. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of theKorean Society for the Study of Christian Religious Education, thisresearch paper documents the developments and trends seen within thefield in the 8years following Oh’s publication and seeks to identify areasfor future research. Insum, this research may be considered acontinuation of and supplement to Oh’s original research.
The paper focuses on works published during the 8 year periodbetween March 2006 and December 2013, analyzes and quantitativelycompares the general trends found during this period with those writtenpost-liberalization to 2005, and offers suggestions for topics of futureresearch. The findings of this research reveal areas of research thathave since subsided, others that have piqued new interest, and thosethat continue to be rigorously studied. In particular, research areas thatremain important in the field include Christian Education, Educational Ministry, Missionary Work, Spirituality, Revivalism, Growth, andContinuing Education. Christian Education must invariably be continued;to this end, all Christian ministries must be reformed into Christianeducational ministries, Christian Education must be supplemented withMission Work and continue to focus on Spirituality and Revivalism, andlastly, Christian Education must be approached as a form of ContinuingEducation. These aforesaid foundational areas have robustly endured forthe past 68 years, and scholars must strive to diversify and enrich thefield of Christian Education through further research and analysis inthese areas.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국기독교교육학계 일세대 학자인 오인탁교수는 2008년 “한국기독교교육학문헌목록”(1945∼2005)집을 출간했다. 오인탁교수의 이 연구는 해방 이후 한국에서 다루어진 기독교교육학 관련 자료를 총망라하는 서지학적 가치가 높은 목록자료집으로, 지금까지 그어느 누구도 시도해보지 못한 방대한 작업을 수행한 연구로써 한국기독교교육학 문헌목록의 집대성이라고 말할 수 있겠다. 본 연구는 한국기독교교육학회 설립 50주년을 기념하여오인탁교수 이후 8년간의 연구를 증보하면서 최근의 연구동향을 살펴 향후 연구과제를 전망하는 차원에서 수행되었다. 기본적으로는 오인탁교수의 후속연구라고 할 수 있겠다.
본 연구는 2006년도 3월부터 시작하여 2013년 12월까지 8년간 발표된 연구내용을 조사하였으며, 해방 이후 2005년도까지 나타난 전편의 연구 주제와 수량적 단순 비교 대조하면서 그 간의 연구동향을 분석하고, 향후 새로운 연구과제 방향을 조명하였다. 본 연구의결과 2005년도 이후 8년 사이에 연구대상에서 사라진 항목들, 새롭게 등장하여 활발하게연구되고 있는 항목들, 여전히 계속 연구되고 있는 항목들이 있음을 발견하였다. 세월이흘러가면서도 기독교교육연구 가운데 변함없이, 지속적으로 활발하게 연구되고 있는 항목들은 기독교교육, 교육목회, 선교, 영성, 부흥, 성장, 평생교육 등과 같은 항목들이었다. 기독교교육은 계속되어야 하며, 모든 목회는 교육목회로 거듭나야 하고, 기독교교육은 선교와 함께 가야하며, 기독교교육은 영성을 잃지 말고 지속적으로 부흥 성장해야 하며, 기독교교육은 평생교육 차원에서 수행해야 한다고도 정리할 수가 있겠다. 68년 동안 변함없이자리를 튼튼하게 다져온 이들 주제 항목들은 한국기독교교육학 연구 안에서 앞으로 보다더 심도 있고 다양하게 분석되고 연구되어져야 한다고 본다.
