국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우울을 호소하는 대학생의 정서인식명확성과 비자살적 자해의 관계에서 능동적, 지지추구적, 회피분산적 각 정서조절양식의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 전체 261명이 연구에 참여하였으며, 그 중 우울증 선별도구(PHQ)의 절단점(5점)에 따라 선별한 우울을 호소하는 사람은 130명이었다. 전국 5개 대학의 온라인 커뮤니티 게시판을 통해 설문을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 전체 대학생 참여자들의 연령은 평균 21.20세이었다. 우울 호소 여부에 따른 정서인식명확성과 비자살적 자해의 차이 검증을 위한 t검증 결과 우울한 사람이 그렇지 않은 사람보다 정서인식명확성의 점수가 유의미하게 낮고, 비자살적 자해가 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 상관분석 결과, 우울 호소 대학생의 정서인식명확성과 비살작적 자해는 유의한 부적 상관이 나타났다. 우울 호소 대학생의 능동적 정서조절양식은 정서인식명확성과는 유의한 정적 상관이 비자살적 자해와는 유의한 부적 상관이 나타났으며, 회피분산적 정서조절양식은 정서인식명확성과는 유의한 부적 상관이 비자살적 자해와는 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 구조방정식 모형 분석 결과, 우울 호소 대학생의 정서인식명확성과 비자살적 자해 관계에서 능동적 정서조절양식과 회피분산적 정서조절양식 각각의 간접효과가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 따라서 능동적, 회피분산적 각 정서조절양식의 매개효과가 확인되었다. 하지만 우울 호소 대학생의 정서인식명확성과 비자살적 자해의 관계에서 지지추구적 정서조절양식의 간접효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 본 연구는 초기 성인기 대학생 중 우울을 호소하는 자해 취약집단의 정서인식명확성이 능동적 정서조절양식과 회피분산적 정서조절양식 각각을 통해 비자살적 자해의 심각도에 영향을 미친다는 과정을 설명한 것에 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of emotional regulation style between emotional clarity and nonsuicidal self-injury(NSSI) in college students who complained of depression. A total of 261 college students participated in the study, and 130 of them complained of depression selected according to the cut-off (5points) of the depression screening questionnaire (PHQ). The data was collected by online surveys through online community boards of five universities in Korea, and the mean age of the participants was 21.20. A t-test was conducted to verify the difference between emotional clarity and NSSI in relation to a participant’s depression appeal. The result of the t-test showed that the emotional clarity was significantly lower than that of those who were depressed, whereas the NSSI was significantly higher than them. Based on a correlation analysis, there is a significant negative correlation between emotional clarity and NSSI of depressed college students. College students who complained of depression and had an active regulation style, their regulation style had a significant positive correlation with emotional clarity and a significant negative correlation with NSSI. For those who complained of depression and had an avoidant distractive regulation style, their regulation style had a significant negative correlation with emotional clarity and a significant positive correlation with NSSI. Through a structural equation model analysis, the indirect effects of each of the active regulation style and the avoidant distractive regulation style were found to be statistically significant in the relationship between emotional clarity and NSSI of depressed college students. Therefore, the mediating effect of each of the active regulation style and the avoidant distractive regulation style was confirmed between emotional clarity and NSSI. However, the indirect effects of the support-seeking regulation style was not statistically significant in relation to emotional clarity and NSSI of the college students complaining of depression. This study is meaningful in explaining the process the emotional clarity of vulnerable young adults in college students complaining of depression affects the severity of NSSI through an active regulation style and an avoidant distractive regulation style.
