In this thesis, it was examined whether a percent body fat can be changed by intaking of internal fluid retentive substrate and by various techniques of body fat measurement.
It was found as following results :
1. Regardless of the conditions of consuming substrates, there were no meaningful differences in percent body fat.
2. When a substrate was taken, there were changes in body fat percert between Caliper using skinfold measurement and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis.
2-1.With the condition of nothing intaken, the study showed meaningful differences in the body fat percentage between measurements of manually operated caliper and organism electric resistance Standing Type.
2-2. With the condition of carbohydrate taken, the study showed a meaningful differences in the body fat percentage among measurements of organism electric resistance Standing Type, manually operated caliper and electronic formula caliper.
2-3. With the condition of creatine taken, there were meaningful differences in the body fat percentage between manually operated caliper and organism electric resistance Standing Type ,and between organism electric resistance Standing Type and organism electric resistance Hand Grip Type.
2-4. With the condition of creatine and carbohydrate taken, there were meaningful differences in the body fat percentage between manually operated caliper and organism electric resistance Standing Type ,and between organism electric resistance Standing Type and organism electric resistance Hand Grip Type.
The results of body fat measurations using organism electric resistance can be different from the result of measuring the skin thickness. That means that these measurements need to be thoroughly reexamined. And the study shows that body fat measurations using organism electric resistance have a defect because those measurements displayed immediate changes in the body fat percentages by the increase of internal moisture containing levels.
