의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 교수법 연구 = Understanding English Teaching Methods for Improving Communicative Competence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The communicative approach has been adopted under the 7th English curriculum. This approach aims to develop students' communicative abilities by implementing the learner-centered instruction in order to overcome many problems which have arisen from our EFL context. The main purpose of this study is thus to review effective English teaching methods for improving English communicative competence.
First, it focuses on English teaching goals which have been changed in the secondary schools over the past several years, together with several major theories of communicative competence. Second, it shows various teaching methods that teachers can use for improving students' communication skills. Third, it suggests some effective communicative activities in English classrooms. Finally, it points out that improving communicative competence should be an important goal in English teaching, and thus English teachers should develop many communicative activities that can be applied in the classroom.
