<Migrantion and education : Korean' life style>
Education is related to the Korean. Migration and settlement of child education was motivated. The finding can be summarized as follows.
1. A study of korean 'village schools' in Russia :
The purpose of this study is to understand korean schools in Russia in 1860s-1920s as a point of view of 'village school'. The data for this study are the articles in 1900s, testimonies of 9 Kopeйский, and etc. In 1860s-1920s, korean schools were understanded as a kind of the nationalism education movements in previous researches. But this study takes a point of view of 'village shool' on the korean schools in Russia in 1860s-1920s. This study to demonstrate 'village school' is to investigate the foundations and managements of the schools.
2. The changes of korean schools in Vladivostok :
The purpose of this study is to investigate changes of korean schools in vladivostok in 1905-1922. The data for this study are official documents and newspaper articles in 1900s. Korean schools in vladivostok in 1905-1922 had 3 periods. Korean schools had changed with the times. Nevertheless korean schools in vladivostok had overcame political and financial difficulties.
3. This study investigates Japan's total war and secondary school lifes in Manchukuo :
Manchukuo' education system in total war was total war education system, and Manchukuo' school in total war was a total institution intending to make national people who effectively body's abilities and practical business abilities for Japan's total war. Thus secondary school naming national high school(國民高等學校) as a total institution made students into national people, mobilized students, and made teacher-student relation into oppressive relation. But There had been an crack that broken close power system in human history.
4. The characteristics of 'Educational Special District' and the people's life forms in the district :
On this study, a literature review and statistics methods are used for 'Education Special District' and the interview of school parents is done for the life forms interpretation. For interpreting of 'Educational Special District' features and people's life forms in there, we collected several different statistics, real estate information of Daegu, a newspapers about the public's consciousness and thoughts on 'Educational Special District' and had a face to face talk with school parents, teacher, people who work at private educational institute.
5. Perception of education and immigration: Interviewing analysis of parents in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region :
The purpose of this study was to analyse of regional differences about parents' perception of education and immigration. The region were divided by 4 different areas including Suseong-gu, non-suseong-gu, near cities in Daegu, and Gyeongbuk.
6. Children Education and Family Life :
The findings were as followed; Firstly, most of school parents answered they feel a strong sense of responsibility toward their children education. Secondly, most of school parents believed there were a positive relationship between their SES and children's academic achievement. Thirdly, the value of academic achievement of children is more important than the value of ordinary family life. Finally, most of them were willing to omnidirectional support for children's academic achievement.
7.The structural relationship between educational perception, educational expectation, and educational support activities of parents in Daegu. :
The research is mainly focused on the difference of educational support activities according to background variables of parents and child grade perceived by parents. For the next step, structural equation model is used to figure out how educational support activities are related to educational perception and educational expectation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1) 【연구일반: 한국인의 삶의 형태 탐구- 교육, 공간, 삶】
교육을 굳이 ‘이주’를 통해 밝히려는 까닭은 교육에 대한 적극성을 확인할 수 있기 때문이다. 적극성이란 행위함을 의미한다고 볼 때, 생경한 이주지에서 교육을 무엇보다 중시했다거나 교육을 위해 이주했다는 사실은 교육을 향한 적극성을 보여준다. 그리고 교육과 공간이 맺는 관계를 오늘날 ‘교육에 미치는 거주지 효과’의 이론적 실제적 측면에서 살펴볼 것이다. 이론적으로는 거주지 효과가 실제하는지, 실제에서는 어떻게 실천되는지 보고자 한다. 마지막으로 교육으로 인한 이주가 공간과 삶에 미치는 효과, 즉 떠남의 전략과 남음/남겨짐의 효과를 검토하였다. 연구결과, 일제시대 해외 이주자들은 이국에서 정착할 때, 자식교육을 중요하게 여겼고, 그것을 민족성의 지표로 삼았다. 그리고 한국사회의 교육을 위한 이주현상은 거주지에 따른 교육효과를 신뢰하고 일어나고 있으며, 이는 거주지 때문에 높은 교육결과가 있다기 보다 거주지와 교육결과가 연관되어 있었다. 이로 인해 중앙지향의 생활방식은 남음/남겨짐의 효과를 만들었다.

2) 【실증적 인식 1 : 해방이전 해외이주자의 삶과 교육】
➀ 민족성의 지표로서 교육 : 간도, 연해주 이주자들을 대상으로 한 면담조사를 통해 ‘높은 교육열’, ‘자식교육에 대한 애착’이 이주 조선인들의 민족적 지표가 되었음을 입증하였다(저서에 포함).
② 러시아 한인의 정착과 마을학교 : 해방 이전 연해주 지역 이주한인들이 정착하는 중요한 힘이 성실과 자식교육이었음을 구술과 문헌자료를 통해 밝혀냈다. 그리고 이주한인들이 의연금을 각출하여 설립 유지하였던 마을학교의 실태를 확인하였다(논문게재).
③ 연해주지역 한인학교 - 블라디보스톡 지역을 중심으로 한인학교들의 변화를 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 블라디보스톡 지역 한인학교들이 각 정치적 시기마다 어떤 변동을 겪는지를 밝혀 3) 【실증적 인식 2 : 해방이후 중앙과 변방】
➀ 교육특구의 특성과 자식교육을 위한 삶의 형태 : 자식교육을 위해 이주한 학부모들이 구성한 교육특구(대구 수성구 중심)의 특성(고소득․고학력․전문직종사자 집단거주, 유명학원 밀집, ‘명문학교’의 밀집)을 문헌자료를 통해 확인하였다. 그리고 교육특구를 조성한 학부모들이 자식교육을 위해 선택하는 삶의 방식(이주의 결정적 시기- 초등학교 고학년, 은밀하게 정보를 공유하고 타인을 배제하는 은밀한 분할, 큰물로 가야 한다는 큰물지향의 공간론)을 확정하였다(논문게재).
➁ 교육과 이주에 대한 인식 - 대구경북 학부모 74명을 중심으로 : 학부모 74명의 설문조사 및 면담을 통해, 교육을 위해 이주하려는 성향과 이유를 확인할 수 있었다. 지역별 이주형태는 더 큰 지역, 즉 중앙으로 연쇄이주를 희망하고 있었으며, 교육이주를 통해 자식에게 더 나은 삶의 기회를 만들어 줄 수 있을 것이라는 학부모들의 확신을 확인하였다(논문게재).
③ 중앙지향의 교육이동 : 대구지역 두 고등학교(수성구: 비수성구) 학생들의 진학과 학교의 진학지도 지침을 통해 중앙지향의 교육이동이 어떻게 실제하는가를 탐구하였다(논문게재예정).
④ 자녀교육과 사회계층, 자녀교육과 구속적 가족의 삶 : 사회계층에 따라 자녀교육에 어떤 태도를 취하는지를 ‘전투적 교육가족’, ‘무시와 소외의 교육적 삶’이라는 연
