미야자키 하야오 애니메이션에서 나타난 비행의 환상성 연구 = <천공의 성 라퓨타> 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

작가에 의해 모든 이미지가 통제되는 애니메이션은 물리적인 시·공간의 제약 없이 상상력에 의해 창조된 환상의 세계를 보여주기에 가장 적합한 장르이다. 본 연구의 주된 내용과 범위는 환상성에 대한 이론들을 비교분석, 이를 기반으로 그 특징을 시각화한 애니메이션의 특징에 대한 분석을 포함한다. 먼저 환상성에 대해 고찰하고 애니메이션이 가지는 환상의 요소에 대해 알아보았다. 이를 통해 전 세계적으로 유명한 애니메이션 감독인 미야자키 하야오의 작품에서 나타난 비행의 환상성을 <천공의 성 라퓨타> 중심으로 살펴보았다. 비행은 그의 작품에 일관적으로 나타나는 환상의 중요 특징이며 <천공의 성 라퓨타>에서 비행의 환상성은 크게 일탈의 비행, 하늘을 향한 인간의 근원적 욕망을 충족시켜주는 비행, 현실도피와 탈출의 비행, 무의식 속에 잠든 부재와 상실에 대한 추구의 비행으로 나타난다. <천공의 성 라퓨타>에 나타난 이러한 비행의 환상성은 이 후에 제작된 그의 여러 작품들에서 새롭게 변형, 재창조 되고 있다. 연구방법으로는 환상성에 관련된 문헌을 1차 연구자료로 삼았다. 덧붙여 선행 연구와 그 외 출판물들, 비평적 자료 등을 보조 텍스트로 참고하였다. 본 연구가 환상성을 지닌 콘텐츠가 주목받고 있는 시대의 흐름과 더불어 앞으로 애니메이션의 발전에 실질적인 도움이 되었으면 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Animation is the best appropriate genre that shows fantasy worlds, which is created by human imagination without any space and time boundaries. Main scopes and contents of this article are the comparative analysis of the fantasy theories and analyzing visual features of animations based on these theories. This research examines how fantasy is defined and how animation has fantasy factors. And examine flying fantasy in Miyazaki Hayao`s animation, focusing on Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Laputa: Castle in the Sky has four flying fantasies which are a flight from breaking away from the routine of daily life, a flight from a primitive instinct for the sky, a flight from reality, a flight for satisfy one`s sense of loses. These flying fantasies appeared in the other Miyazaki Hayao animations. Main scopes and contents of this article are the comparative analysis of the fantasy theories and analyzing visual features of Miyazaki Hayao`s animation <Laputa: Castle in the Sky> based on these theories. The Main method of this article is to analyze the books and periodicals about these theories. Additionally, literatures including precedent studies, other publications and critics would be taken as a second text. This study examine a world of Miyazaki Hayao`s work. By popular demand, this paper will practically contribute to contents and expressions of future fantasy animation films industry.
