One of various solutions for next generation manufacturing system is micro/meso level precision equipments and system; which enable the space, energy, and labor to be decreased and the system maintenance to be performed effectively. Similarly to the dynamics in macro machine system, it is very important to understand structural characteristics and prediction of dynamic behavior of miniaturized machines. This paper analyzes results of dynamic characteristics of beam-structured test models with bolt joints, which are composed of material (SM45C, AL6061, and BRASS) and size (macro and micro-size) by applying the conventional finite element modeling and analysis to both models and also compares those of modal testing.
