종교이론의 심리학적 고찰

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Religious mind has various figures and characteristics according to the race, the community, it's historical tradition and cultural background. There can be several ways of studying religion, but I will look about the theory of religion of psychologists.
Psychology of religion is originated from W. Wundt who is pioneer of mordern
empirical psycholog st. He handled mythology and religion in "volker psychology". W. James, in "The Varieties of Religious Experience".established an independent psychology of religion and tried to explain the structure of religion in the psychological aspect.
Allport, a personality psychologist, asserted that an individual’s personality was formed by internalizing religion or custom of the community as constitutional elements of his own personality, and religious personality should be considered not only in the individual’s psychological aspect but also in the collective, social and cultural aspect.
Freud interpreted religious experiences psychoanalytically emphasizing the
unconsciousness of man. Jung and fromm who were influenced greatly by Freud’s
theory developed the psychological study of religion. Jung contrued the concept
of 'Libido' as a psychoenergy and asserted that without religious mind man would
be likely to be neurotic.
Fromm considered religion in the social aspect criticizing Freud and Jung. He asserted that religion, as an integrated system of actions, thoughts and
behaviours which human being have in common, provided 'Frame of Orientation'
and 'Object of Devotion' to the believers.
Psychologists study and analize the psychological phenomena of religious
activity, that is, what kind of human behaviours a specific religion represents,
rather than have interests in the value evaluation on religious phenomena.
