4차 산업혁명 대응을 위한 태권도 문화의 역할

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래에 따른 태권도 문화의 변화에 대해 알아보았다. 초연결, 초지능, 초융합이라는 기술적 환경 변화를 이끌어내는 4차 산업혁명은 사회 문화 전반에 영향을 미치고 있으며, 이러한 변화 속에서 한국의 주요 신체 문화인 태권도의 변화 흐름을 예측하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 문헌연구와 심층면담을 실시하여 4차 산업혁명 기술에 따른 사회 변화 양상과 태권도 문화의 특징에 대해 알아보았으며, 나아가 4차 산업혁명에 대한 태권도계의 인식과 변화가 예상되는 주요 과제를 도출하였다. 연구의 주요 분석 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 태권도 문화는 무예 문화, 스포츠 문화 및 한국 문화적 특징을 지니며, 이러한 문화가 태권도 고유의 문화를 바탕으로 융합되어 자체적인 태권도 문화를 형성하고 있다. 둘째, 태권도 전문가들은 4차 산업혁명 기술의 도입과 적용의 필요성을 인식하고 있었으나, 영세한 태권도 산업의 구조와 태권도 프로그램 및 지도법의 변화가 더디게 나타나는 점을 들어 태권도 문화에서 활용 가능한 4차 산업혁명 기술 도입과 프로그램 개발 등을 위한 투자와 지원이 어렵다고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 태권도 문화는 4차 산업혁명 기술의 도입으로 태권도 관련 정보의 디지털화를 바탕으로 문화 전반의 효율화 및 자동화와 문화 영역 및 구성원의 역할 등이 재구성될 것으로 전망되며 이러한 과제를 수행할 경우 합리적이고 창의적인 문화를 형성할 것으로 예측되었다. 따라서, 미래 지도자 양성 교육 및 기술 도입에 따른 제도 개선을 실시하는 등 태권도 문화의 전반적인 흐름과 4차 산업혁명 기술 도입과의 관계에 대한 지속적 관심과 활용이 제안된다.

In this study, we examined the changes in Taekwondo culture following the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To this end, by conducting literature research and in-depth interviews, we looked into the aspects of social change and the characteristics of Taekwondo culture in accordance with technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and furthermore, we have drawn up the perception of the Taekwondo world about the Fourth Industrial Revolution and major challenges that are expected to be changed. The key findings from the analysis conducted in this study are summarized as follows. First, taekwondo culture has the characteristics of martial arts culture, sports culture, and Korean culture, and these cultures are combined based on the culture unique to Taekwondo to form its own culture. Second, Taekwondo experts had been aware of the need for the introduction and application of the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and at the same time, they had the perception that it is difficult to invest and support for the introduction of technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the development of the program that can be utilized in Taekwondo culture for reasons of the reality of the structure of the small Taekwondo industry and the slow change in the Taekwondo program and teaching methods, Third, carrying out such tasks is expected to create a reasonable and creative culture as the overall efficiency and automation of Taekwondo culture and the role of cultural areas and members are expected to be reorganized based on the digitalization of Taekwondo-related information following the introduction of the technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
