If we do not know anything about an author`s life and his/her inner world, we cannot say that we understand the entire meanings of his/her works. So, in order to understand the literary works Dasan`s left, we cannot help investigate the anthropocentricism he had pursued and his inner world because his literary works were derived from his life as an individual human being and his experience and came from the actual world of his day. Up until now, the attitude to concentrating on only the literary works Dasan left themselves, is because we are overcome by the excellence of his works but this attitude may not be said as a good strategy to understand his works because we cannot say that this attitude is a well-balanced strategy. It is necessary to shed new light on his works based on understanding Dasan as a humanist and his anthropocentric philosophy. Dasan might figure out the meaning of human existence as the social relationship and in this relationship, he paid attention to the existence of people (the public). Dasan`s anthropocentric philosophy was basically dependent on his belief that people is a center of the world. His belief naturally led him to sympathize with people`s optimist attitude and their internal feelings. In the place of exile ``KangJin``, Dasan perfectly showed his life connected to various peoples and his figure as a humanist in his literary works. So, he was a father, a husband, sometime a brother, a teacher, or sometimes a normal neighbor who lived in ``KangJin``. In fact, Dasan`s inner world come out by the relationship with various people makes is very anthropocentric and friendly for us. This is a real figure of Dasan which comes out by his inner world. Thus, this paper claims that the success of Dasan`s literary works is based on his anthropocentric life and philosophy.
