The issue of global warming is one of the important global concerns. There was a lot of effort to solve this problem, and as part of that, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was held in Paris in 2015 to prevent the global average temperature from rising. Korea government has decided to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 37 percents until 2030, and the fishery"s sector will reduce by 15.5 percents. Until now, many researches have been performed to reduce greenhouse gases in the fishery"s sector, but the quantitative analysis of greenhouse gases in the existing fisheries" sector has been analyzed mainly by various fisheries’ types. Therefore, this study is decided to analyze the greenhouse gases generated by the production of the same species in various fisheries in order to analyze the advantages of each fishery in terms of greenhouse-gas emissions in the production of the same species. This study used a Life Cycle Assessment method as a way to quantitatively analyze greenhouse gases. As a result, the fuel consumption coefficients were calculated using production and fuel consumption, and the greenhouse-gas emission by fisheries was obtained through a Life Cycle Assessment method. The results of this study could be used as a basis for research to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from future fishing activities of anchovy and hairtail.
