부모의 양육태도가 청소년 비행에 미치는 영향 = The Mediating Effect of Grit on the Relationship between Parental Attitude toward Child Rearing and Juvenile Delinquency

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2018년 당시 중학교 1학년 2,590여 명의 패널을 대상으로 한 아동·청소년 패널조사(KCYPS 2018)를 활용하여 부모의 양육태도가 청소년 비행에 미치는 영향에 대해 그릿(Grit)의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 여학생보다 남학생의 비행경험이 더 많았고 비행, 부모의 양육태도, 그릿은 서로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 독립표본 t-검정 결과, 비행유무에 따른 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 보이는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 부모의 양육태도와 청소년 비행의 관계에서 그릿의 매개효과를 검증하기 위한 위계적 회귀분석과 Sobel-test를 실시한 결과 부모의 양육태도와 비행의 관계에서 그릿이 매개작용을 하는 것으로 분석되었다. 연구결과를 통해 비행과 부모의 양육태도의 실증적 관계 및 선행연구를 재검증하였고, 특히, 청소년 비행행동을 설명하는 데 있어 그릿의 역할 및 매개효과 검증을 통해 청소년 비행 분야에서 그릿과 관련한 데이터를 축적했다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Using the 2018 Child and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018) of 2,590 panels at that time, the current study attempted to examine the mediating effect of Grit on the relationship between parental attitude toward child rearing and juvenile delinquency. The results from the analyses confirmed that boys were more likely to commit delinquent behaviors than girls and delinquency, parental attitude, and Grit were found to be correlated. Also, the results from independent samples t-tests indicate that there were significant differences between delinquent group and non-delinquent group in terms of Grit, positive, and negative parental attitudes. Finally, the results of a hierarchical regression and Sobel-test suggested that Grit had a mediating effect on the relationship between parent attitude and delinquency. These findings were consistent with prior research and made significant contribution to the current knowledge of this particular topic. Moreover, it is significant in that it has accumulated data related to Grit in the field of juvenile delinquency by linking delinquency and Grits with them.
