웰다잉 교육 참여자들의 학습경험에 관한 내러티브 연구 = A Narrative Study on Learning Experience of Attendees in Well-Dying Class.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 웰다잉 교육 지도자 양성과정에 참여한 5명의 성인학습자를 대상으로 한 학습경험에 관한 연구이다. 이 연구의 목적은 참여자들이 학습과정에서 어떤 경험과 반성적 사고를 통해 변화하게 되었는지를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해서 웰다잉 교육을 통하여 형성된 삶과 죽음을 대하는 태도, 죽음준비에 대한 의지를 내러티브 방식으로 서술 하고 분석하였다.
이 연구에서 보여주는 것은 웰다잉 교육이 연구 참여자들의 죽음에 대한 생각을 변화 시켰다는 것이다. 그들은 생애주기에서 길어진 삶을 더욱 소중하게 생각하게 되었고, 새로운 사회적 역할도 모색하게 되었다. 또한 웰다잉 학습경험은 연구 참여자들로 하여금 죽음에 대한 정보나 지식을 획득하는 것에서 나아가 자신의 삶을 회고하고 반성하며, 관계속의 ‘나’를 재인식하여 새로운 삶을 설계해 가도록 이끈다는 점에서 실천적 학습의 힘을 보여준다 하겠다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is on the learning experience of five participants in a well-dying instructor cultivating program. The objective of this study is to examine changes in participants′ lives after the program. To achieve the objective, the adult learners was described and analyzed of their attitudes about life and death and the intention to prepare for their death, based on a narrative method.
This study shows that the well-dying education program changed participants′ thoughts of death from negative to positive and made them value the life they are living. They began to think of their new social roles.
The well-dying learning experience makes participants reflect and examine themselves and have a new understanding of `themselves in relations, based on information and knowledge of the death acquired in the program. Moreover the experience guide them to plan their new lives.
