      본 연구는 지시적 집단 모래상자 놀이치료가 다문화가정 아동의 자아개념 증진에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적을 두고 실시되었다. 연구대상은 10~11세 다문화가정 아동 3명으로, 자아개념 검사 점수가 낮은 아동들이다. 프로그램 진행은 주 2회, 60분, 총 12회기로 실시하였고, 다문화가정 아동의 자아개념 변화를 보기 위해 프로그램 사전/사후에 자아개념 척도로 측정한 점수를 비교하였고, 언어적/ 자유놀이 행동을 자기표현척도/ 놀이행동 관찰 기록지에 따라 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다: 1. 지시적 집단 모래상자 놀이치료는 다문화가정 아동의 자아개념 척도 점수를 향상시킨다. 2. 지시적 집단 모래상자 놀이치료를 진행하는 동안 다문화가정 아동의 부정적 언어표현은 감소하고 긍정적 언어표현은 증가한다. 3. 지시적 집단 모래상자 놀이치료를 진행하는 동안 다문화가정 아동의 혼자놀이 하는 행동은 감소하고 함께 놀이하는 행동은 증가한다. 본 연구는 소수 사례 연구이기 때문에 연구결과를 일반화하는데 한계가 있으나, 지시적 집단 모래상자 놀이치료가 다문화가정 아동의 자아개념을 증진시키는데 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

      This study was conducted to find the effect of the directed sand-tray play therapy on the self-concept improvement in multi-cultural family children. Subjects are three children of multi-cultural family at age 10 to 11 were selected because of the low self-concept points. The program was carried out 12 times, twice a week, 60 minutes per session, The change of self-concept in multi-cultural family children was evaluated by comparing with self-concept scores before/after the program and changes in verbal/free-play activity were analyzed by self-expression scale/the play-activity observation sheet. The results of this study are as follows: First, the directed sand-tray play therapy improves the self-concept points of multi-cultural family children. Second, during the directed sand-tray play therapy, positive linguistic expression has increased while negative expressions decreased. Third, through the directed sand-tray play therapy, the free-play pattern of multi-cultural family children has changed from playing alone into group-play. As this study includes only a few cases, conclusions have limitations to generalize. However, it has shown that the directed sand-tray play therapy can improve the self-concept of multi-cultural family children.
