Overseas Koreans in China have emigrated in the mid-19th century for economic reason. Also Overseas Koreans in Japan have emigrated in 1920s for economic reason. Two million Korean-Chinese living in China and 900,000 Korean-Japanese living in Japan maintained Korean identity and traditional culture.
These Overseas Koreans in China and Japan can be included Global Koreans, accordingly the history of Korean emigration place a cap on the mid-19th century and 1920s. But Descendants of Koreans prisoners of war during and after Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592 and Manchu invasion of Korea in 1636 were not include Overseas Korean. There were over a hundred thousands war prisoners each Imjin war in 1592 and manchu war in 1636.
And yet extremely a few have sent back home, majority of Koreans war prisoners have remained in the actual place as an enclave. Where have they gone? This paper is a draft, so this isn"t investigated sufficiently by various references and examinations. Merely I argue that Descendants of Koreans war prisoners during and after Imjin war in 1592 and Manchu war in 1636 are to be included Overseas Korean. In that case the history of Korean emigration place a cap on the 16th, 17th
century.
