Mullerian adenosarcoma has been described as a distinctive biphasic uterine tumor with benign epithelial and Malignant stromal components. Adenosarcoma of the uterine corpus is a very rare variants of mixed mesodermal tumor and considered to be a tumor of low grade malignancy with relatively good prognosis, but the possibility of recurrence is still high and occaslonal cases with metastasis have been docomented.
Recently, we have experienced such a case in a 20-year-old unmarried woman. The patient has been followed for 4 months without any evidence of recurrence after induction chemotherapy ( VAC 3 cycles ), operation ( total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingooophorectomy ), and postoperative chemotherapy ( VAC 4 cycles ). This case is presented with a brief review of the literatures.
