      This research aimed to identify the jewelry industry ecosystem based on the concept of a business ecosystem through an analytical approach due to the assumption that the jewelry industry may have sustainable development according to its ecosystem. The action of sustainable development goal takes its place in various fields of business environment. The study of business ecosystem recognized broadly due to sustainable development of the country and the economic firms but jewelry industry ecosystem (JIE) remained understudied in this category. The concept of developing jewelry industry as one type of ecosystem might lead the Indonesia jewelry sector to grow stable, healthy and long lasting in the global jewelry market as a whole in a comprehensive way. The ecosystem of Indonesia jewelry industry based on the understanding of general jewelry market and the characteristics of Indonesia market. Countries in global jewelry market can be differentiated by the characteristics as developed, developing, and emerging market where success factors might be differed accordingly. For Indonesian case, the market of jewelry industry distinguished from the other countries as the emerging market that majority of jewelry enterprises structured from small and medium enterprises that locating in the numerous islands bounded by the various culture. Further, implication made to define the success factors of the Indonesia jewelry industry ecosystem. In order to contribute to the idea, this paper reviewed the system of the business ecosystem and applied it to research as the jewelry industry ecosystem. The benefit of the ecosystem concept is to grow enterprises or organizations together within the complex community. The structure of jewelry industry ecosystem subdivided as producers, product, customer, and incubators and their dynamic interaction between each other may influence on reliability of whole functions of the ecosystem. There are numerous factors which involved in the ecosystem to define the efficiency of jewelry industry functionality but this research suggests some key potential factors that can enhance sustainable development of the overall jewelry industry ecosystem in Indonesia.
