The purpose of this study was to investigate how much the college and university students felt stress and how they dealt with it. Data were collected from the total 268 participants, including 120 college and 148 university students, through a survey using the questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 66 questions, including 13 questions of physically appearing stress symptoms, 12 questions of mental1y appearing stress symptoms, 13 questions of emotionally appearing stress symptoms, 13 questions of actually appearing symptoms, and 15 questions of dealing with stress. Data were analyzed using ANOV A as statistical techniques. Analysis results reveal that (ⅰ) women feel more stress than men, and college students feel more stress than university students, (ⅱ) the mentally appearing stress symptoms are higher than actually appearing ones, and (ⅲ) students use self-control method rather than evasion for dealing with stress.
