Background: A successful pregnancy and delivery in renal-transplanted patients has been increased with the high graft survival rate by the development of the immunosuppressive agents using following renal transplantation. And so attentions have been focused on the effects of immunosuppressive agents on the graft kidney and fetus during pregnancy after renal transplantation.
Results: We presented successful pregnancies and fullterm deliveries with cesarean section in two recipients with regimens of cyclosporine, azathioprine and prednisolone after renal transplantation.
Conclusion: Cyclosporine, azathioprine and prednisolone have on deliterious effect to the mother and fetus in our two cases but, more study is needed to identify the effects of immunosuppressive agents on the graft kidney and fetus during pregnancy after transplantation.
