The purpose of this study was to examine how the relationship between children and preschool teacher and teacher-parent communication was related to children`s school adjustment. A sample of 247 preschool children and their teachers participated in the present study. Teacher was to rate the three scales, children`s school adjustment, teacher-child relationship, and teacher-parent communication. Results suggest that teacher-child closeness was positively linked with children`s early adjustment and school attitude. Teacher-rated conflict was associated with teachers` ratings of poorer school adjustment and negative school attitude. Teacher-parent communication was related to the children`s school adjustment. Finally, this study suggest that the teacher-child relationship may serve important support functions for young children in their attempts to adjust to the school environment. The findings of this investigation raise important implication for educators in terms of teacher education.
