Experiments are carried out to investigate the heat transfer rate and pressure drop characteristics of the modified fin-tube heat exchanger having same flow path as the two row louver fin-tube heat exchanger using refrigerant R22. The heat exchangers used in the experiments are classified as two, one is fundamental type and the other is combination type of two-row heat exchanger which is consist of two one-row heat exchanger with intervals of 14 ㎜.
According to the results, the combination type heat exchanger has higher outlet air temperature and condensation heat transfer rate than the fundamental type heat exchanger. However, The combination type heat exchanger has higher air pressure drop than the fundamental type. The combination type has also higher refrigerant pressure drop than the fundamental type.
