발문하기와 토론하기를 활용한 소설교육방법 연구 = A Study on Novel Education Method Using Questioning and Discussion

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학에 재학 중인 학생들을 통하여 현재 학교 교육 현장에서 이루어지고 있는 소설교육의 상황을 살펴보고, 입시 위주 수업에서 간과할 수밖에 없었던 학생들의 문학 능력 신장을 위해 발문하기와 토론하기를 활용한 새로운 방식의 소설교육방법을 모색해보았다.
발문하기는 학습자의 사고력을 증진 시키고 주도적 학습, 사고력, 창의력의 신장을 꾀하는 방법이며, 비판적이고 이상적으로 사고하고 행동하게 하는 교수 방법이다. 기존의 발문하기 방식이 교수자 중심의 학습활동이었다. 본 연구에서 활용한 발문하기는 학습자 스스로 작품을 읽고, 작품에 대한 해석을 찾아내어 생각을 확장할 수 있는 질문을 던지고 그에 대한 답을 찾는 것이다. 즉, 기존의　교수자 중심의 발문하기 방법을 전복하여 학습자가 발문하는　방식을 적용하여 수업을 진행했다. 그 결과 학습자는 자신만의 방식으로 작품을 읽고 다양하게 해석하는 과정을 반복하면서 기존의 수동적인 읽기 방식과는 다른 주체적이고 능동적인 차원의 읽기를 수행할 수 있었다.
발문하기 이후에는 다양한 주제로 토론을 진행하면서 구성원들 간의 자유로운 토론을 통해 생각의 확장을 꾀하였다. 학생들은 입시 위주의 정형화된 해석을 벗어나 깊이 있고 창의적으로 소설작품을 읽는 경험을 하고, 그것을 바탕으로 개인과 세계에 대한 성찰적이고 통합적인 인식을 이루었음을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the current situation of novel educations in the school education field through students enrolled in universities, and sought a new method of novel education using inquiries and discussions to improve the literary skills of students, who had to be overlooked in college entrance exam oriented classes.
Questioning is a method of enhancing learners’ thinking ability and enhancing leading learning, thinking ability, and creativity. And also a teaching method that allows them to think critically and ideally. If the current existing questioning method was an instructor-cerntered learning activity, the questioning used in this study is about the learner reads the work on one’s own, finds interpretations of the work the one had read, asks questions that can expand one’s thoughts, and finds answer to it. In other words, the class was conducted by applying this method of the learner’s questioning by overturning the existing method. As a result, learners were able to perform a subjective and active reading different from the existing passive reading method while repeating the process of reading and interpreting the work in their own way.
In addition, after the inquiry, discussions were conducted on various topics, and discussions among discussion members were made to expand their thoughts. In the process, it was found that students experienced reading novel works in depth and creatively beyond standardized interpretation focused on entrance exams, and based on that, they could achieve a reflective and integrated perception of individuals and that of the world.
