The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of toddler-teacher interaction program on teacher’s efficacy and toddler-teacher interaction, The experimental group and control group were consisted of each 30 2-year-olds and 15 teachers attending 19 daycare centers in G city. To promote interaction between toddler and teacher, 15 teachers in experimental group joined the program of toddler-teacher interaction for 8 weeks. To verify the effect, the questionnaire of teacher’s sense of efficacy and toddler-teacher interaction were used. ANCOVA were used to analyse the data. The results were follows. First, there was meaningful difference on general teaching efficacy but not on personal teaching efficacy between two groups. Secondly, there were meaningful differences on all the sub-factors of toddler-teacher interaction between two groups. The sub-factors were positive interaction, teacher’s linguistic modeling, promotion of social interaction, reactive teaching, teacher’s positive attitude, and active participation activity. The results of this research imply that teacher education was very important to improve the teacher’s sense of self efficiency and the positive toddler-teacher interaction.
