중고령 장애인의 사회적 배제가 건강에 미치는 영향: 사회자본의 조절효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 장애인의 사회적배제와 건강의 종단적 관계를 규명하고 이 관계가 사회자본에 의해 조절되는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국복지패널의 7, 10, 13, 16차 조사에 모두 응답한 45세 이상 장애인 3,649명을 최종 분석대상으로 설정하였다. 분석방법으로는 Stata 17.0을 활용하여 GLS 패널회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중고령 장애인의 건강수준은 시간이 지남에 따라 꾸준히 증가하는 추세를 보였다. 둘째, 사회적 배제와 사회자본은 시간이 지남에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회적 배제가 증가할수록 장애인의 건강수준은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 가족 내 사회자본과 지역사회 내 사회자본 모두 건강수준을 증가시키는 요인으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 사회적배제와 건강의 관계는 지역사회 내 사회자본에 의해 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 장애인의 건강을 증진시키고 사회자본의 개발을 위한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the longitudinal relationship between social exclusion and the health status of people with disabilities, and to examine whether this relationship is moderated by social capital. To achieve this goal, the final analysis was performed on a sample of 3,649 disabled individuals aged 45 and above who responded to the 7th, 10th, 13th, and 16th survey waves of the Korean Welfare Panel Study(KoWePS). Generalized Least Square(GLS) panel regression analysis was performed using Stata 17.0. The results showed the following. First, the health status of middle-aged and older people with disabilities consistently improved over time. Second, both social exclusion and social capital decreased over time. Third, social exclusion was found to have a negative impact on the health status of people with disabilities. Fourth, both social capital in the family and social capital in the community have a positive impact on the health status. Fifth, social capital in the community moderated the relationship between social exclusion and health. Based on these results, implications for social welfare policy to improve the health of people with disabilities and develop social capital were discussed.
