      Abstract

      This study was performed to know the fluoride contents in Han River as the source of supplied water from the Duk Do area in upstream of Han River to Haeng Ju ferry.
      The analysis was made for the tramples collected from April to November 1973 in every Friday in a week.
      The obtained results were as follows:
      (1) Duk Do area in upstream of Han River were less contained by fluoride. The average contents were 0.19ppm, range 0.19~0.38ppm.
      (2) In the Han River down stream, Haeung Ju ferry was average fluoride contents 0.51ppm, the range 0.30~0.59ppm.
      (3) The fluoride contents in the Han River were average 0.19~0.51ppm and lower than the level which is able to prevents the occurence of dental caries.
      (4) The fluoridation of supply water is recommended in order to improve the oral health in Korea.
