The effect on plant regeneration from the callus derived cell suspension culture was investigated in Populus alba. For cell suspension the callus were induced from stem segments in vitro and grew on MS supplemented with BAP 0.1 ㎎/ℓ and 2,4-D 0.4㎎/ℓ. After 12 days of suspension culture, cell and cluster of cells were plated on Falcon. dish (φ55 × 12mm) in MS treatmented with various phytohormones by thin layer method. The best yield medium for cell colony was found the MS with BAP ㎎/ℓ and 2,4-D 1.0㎎/ℓ A number of regenerated plantlets from the cell colony were sprouted on MS medium with 2ip 5.0㎎/ℓ and NAA 0.1 ㎎/ℓ.
