성인 학습자 대상 외국어 학습 시스템 휴리스틱스 개발: 온라인 세종학당 중심으로 = The Heuristics Development of a Foreign Language Learning System for Adult Learners: Focused on the Online King Sejong System

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 목적은 성인학습자 대상의 외국어 학습 시스템의 사용성을 평가하기 위한 도구 개발에 있다. 외국어학습 시스템의 사용성 평가를 위한 휴리스틱스를 개발하기 위해 문헌분석을 통해 초안을 만들고, 교육공학 전공자와 외국어 강사들의 델파이를 통해 도구를 검증하였다. 휴리스틱스 초안 구성에는 일반적인 웹기반 사이트의 일반적인 사용성 특성, 교육 사이트의 특성을 감안한 교육적 문맥에서의 사용성, 그리고 외국어 학습 사이트의 문맥을 고려한 사용성의 특성을 포함하였다. 초안의 내용에는 온라인 학습을 위한 성인학습자의 특성과 제2 언어 습득이론에 근거한 외국어학습 사이트의 사용성 특성을 포함하였다. 초안은 15명의 전문가들이 온라인 세종학당 사이트를 활용하여 2번에 걸친 델파이 방식으로 도구의 타당화 작업을 수행하였다. 휴리스틱스는 총 8영역의 23개 항목으로 개발되었다. 본 연구는 한국어학습 사이트를 기반으로 휴리스틱스를 개발하였으나, 본 도구가 일반적인 제2외국어 학습 사이트의 사용성 검증 도구로 사용되려면 추후 다른 언어 학습 사이트에서 타당성을 검증해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to develop a tool to evaluate the usability of a foreign language learning system for adult learners. The draft of heuristics was developed based on the literature review and research analysis, and experts of educational technologists and foreign language teachers testified the draft.The draft includes three layers of usability: general web site usability, education context usability and the foreign language learning system usability. The draft contained items based on the theories of foreign language learning and adult learner characteristics on the web site. The draft was validated by 15 experts by implementing theDelphi method twice to finalize 8 domains and 23 items. This study used the online King Sejong institute to validate the heuristics but in order to make the tool be general for the second language learning system; however in order to generalize the tool for foreign language learning system, validating the heuristics in other language learning systems is recommended.
