This purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of aerobic exercise on the physical health and life satisfaction in middle-aged women. In the study, the researcher collected and analyzed data on a total of 300 aerobics members at sports centers in Daegu. It was analyzed by a statistics program, SPSS 13.0 Version. Statistical significance level was set as p<.05. The analysis methods are frequency analysis and one-way ANOVA were employed and Scheffe post-hoc test was conducted.
Through the methods and processes stated above, this study was able to derive the following results.
First, exercise period and intensive aerobic exercise has a positive effect on one's physical health. As the level of exercise satisfaction became higher, the level of physical health was found to be higher.
Second, exercise period and intensive aerobic exercise has a positive effect on one's life satisfaction. As the level of exercise satisfaction became higher, the level of life satisfaction was found to be higher.
To summarize, aerobic exercise had a positive effect on the physical health and life satisfaction in middle-aged women. These positive changes suggest that a long term aerobic exercise must be activated in middle-aged woman. There should be efforts to develop a more effective aerobic program and nurture professional aerobics instructor to induce continuous and effective participation to aerobics which is an ideal way to help people find a healthy way to solve their physical health and life satisfaction.
