1989年 11月부터 1990年 10月까지 駕漠灣 海水의 水質評價를 위해 糞便汚染指標微生物인 大腸菌群을 測定한 結果는 다음과 같다.
1. 大腸菌群의 菌數測定結果는 A海域에서 4.0×⁻¹MPN/100ml 以下로 淸淨海域임을 알 수 있었고 D海域 8.1×10³MPN/100ml로 調査 海域中 가장 汚染되어 있었다.
2. 季節的 分布는 冬季인 11月과 12月, 다음해 1月과 2月에 거의 出現하지 않았고 5月에서 10月 사이 높은 分布를 나타내었다.
3. MacConky agar에 依한 大腸菌群數는 A, B, C海域에서는 夏季에, D海域에서는 年中 分布하는 傾向을 보였다.
4. 썰물과 밀물에 따른 大腸菌群의 菌數差는 밀물에 비해 썰물때 훨씬 높은 것으로 나타났다.
5. 生化學的 性狀에 따라 18類型으로 詳別되었다.
6. 分離菌 77菌株에 對한 同定結果는 E. coli Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ가 7菌株, K. aerogenes Ⅰ,Ⅱ가 10菌株, C. freundii Ⅰ,Ⅱ가 15菌株였고 이들 菌種이 全體分離菌中 42%를 차지하였다.

Kamak bay located under the both city of Yeochun and Yeosu is contaminated by domestic sewage and industrial waste water. On that ground, this study was conducted to evaluate and to obtain basic data on the sea quality of kamak bay through the investigation on coliform bacteria group being index microorganism of feacal contamination.
The results examinated with sample divided into two groups of the clean and the contaminated sea area were as follow.
1. The viable cell counts of coliform bacteria in the clean and the contaminated sea area being 4.0×1⁻¹ and 8.1×10³ MPN/100ml respectively. we knew sea area that the former is clean and the latter to contaminate.
2. Seasonal distribution of these bacterials was not detected in January, February, November, and December during winter season, but it was appeared high count from May to October.
3. Coliform bacterial count measured by MacConky agar appeared tendency that A, B, and C sea areas were high distribution in the summer season and D sea area in all seasons.
4. Grouping according to bacteriological characteristics was divided into 18groups.
5. E. coli Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, K. aerogens Ⅰ, Ⅱ and C.ferundii Ⅰ, Ⅱ classified 7, 10 and 15 strains among 77 strains isolated from samples, respectively.
